Welcome

Nyborg Marina welcomes you to a lovely harbor in the middle of the town. We have approximately 550 berths plus a lot of guest berths in the Øster- and Vesterhavn. Guestprices include power and water. Reservations can only be made for boats > 20 m, but you can always find a berth in our large harbor.

Kings fortified Nyborg as part of the kingdom’s most powerful city. Just like you, the kings and queens sailed into Nyborg. Towering above the town and the Great Belt was the royal palace’s large watchtower – probably more than 30 metres high. Sailors used it to navigate. The harbour was built at the base of the fjord, close to the centre of the commercial town, within walking distance of both the royal castle and the church. When you sail in through Nyborg Fjord, Nyborg Marina remains at the heart of the town centre to this day. You are just two minutes away from the cosy shopping streets and ramparts, where you can experience everything from jousting tournaments and markets to Denmark’s oldest open-air theatre and much more besides.

The marina remains the setting for a vibrant maritime scene. There are associations, where anyone with an interest in all things maritime can pursue their interests. As a visitor to Nyborg Marina, you can also enjoy chatting with the locals, whether you are into oars, sails or motors. The harbour is still home to active commercial fishermen, so be sure to pay us a visit when the fishing cutters are coming in, and buy fresh fish straight from the sea.

Jump on your bike or rent one at the marina, and experience the scenic east Funen landscape, where you will find manor houses, water mills and charming roadside stalls selling seasonal fruit and vegetables. Or you can choose to pay one of the small local producers in the “king's pantry” a visit and enjoy an extraordinary food experience. All inspired by the food of the Middle Ages. If you have brought your golf clubs with you, one of Denmark’s most beautiful golf courses, bordering Nyborg Fjord, is just 10 minutes away.

If you are planning on travelling a little further afield – or if you are expecting guests – the train is an ideal option. The station has a half-hourly service to both Copenhagen and Jutland, opening up new possibilities for your sailing holiday to Nyborg.

The Harbour Office is here to give you a helping hand, and we hope you will enjoy your stay in Nyborg.

Welcome to Nyborg Marina.
